Dr. Wachs received his bachelor’s degree from University at Albany in 1984 with honors. He graduated from the prestigious Southern California University of Health Sciences in 1988. Shortly after, he earned certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.) from the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council. In 19991 Dr. Wachs founded Wachs Chiropractic Health Center in Chula Vista, California. This office was opened in the heart of a growing and vibrant area of the South Bay and has grown to become one of the most successful practices in San Diego. An ongoing commitment to providing state of the art chiropractic care in a caring and family friendly environment has allowed Wachs Chiropractic to help thousands achieve better health. Dr. Wachs’ practice has always been equipped with the latest chiropractic equipment and technology to help you his patient’s attain total health and well being.
In a concerted effort to provide the best in evaluation, diagnostics, and treatment for his patient’s, Dr. Wachs has received numerous post-graduate appointments and certifications. He has been appointed by the State of California, Industrial Medical Council, as a Qualified Medical Evaluator (Q.M.E.). He has been certified as an Industrial Disability Evaluator (I.D.E.). He participates as an examiner for the State of California, Disability Insurance Program (S.D.I.), as a certified Independent Medical examiner (I.M.E.). With the many special certifications and MPN’s that he is on, Dr. Wachs has been sought out by many of San Diego’s Worker’s Compensation Attorneys and Personal Injury Attorneys for their patients worker’s comp and personal injury care.
Dr. Wachs was recognized nationally for providing chiropractic services to the emergency personnel during Firestorm 2003 when wildfires struck San Diego and Southern California. The story of how Southern California Chiropractors came together to help California’s emergency workers was published in Today’s Chiropractic. Services were provided to local and national rescue/relief workers including the S.D.P.D., C.D.F. (California Department of Forestry), U.S. Military, and numerous local and out of state fire departments. He continues to serve many local amateur and elite athletes, and has served as a member of the A.C.A. Sports Council Medical Staff at US Olympic Team Trials for Canoe/Kayak at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center.
Dr. Wachs a Chiropractor in Chula Vista is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association, has performed lectures and workshops at numerous businesses and civic organizations, and is regularly sought out as a wellness expert. He also serves on his local Little League Board of Directors. His involvement in youth sports has led him to coach teams for both his daughter’s softball and basketball teams, and his son’s travel baseball, local Little League baseball, and Pop Warner football teams. With advancements being made each year in chiropractic, Dr. Wachs is an avid proponent of continuing education, and he is devoted to learning the latest and most scientific methods in order to provide the very best health care to his patient’s. By assisting his patient’s with all components of health, participants in Dr. Wachs’ health care program take strides towards achieving their goals, reaching their fullest potential, and attaining optimum wellness through chiropractic care!
